Missions

The 4 main missions of the Health and Society research association are the following:

•    Put in place interdisciplinary research projects about transversal health questions which raise important social issues
•    Disseminate the research carried out within the structure’s framework to the general public, stakeholders, professionals, and to those in charge of social, medico-social and health policies.
•    Develop training programmes in partnership with the research poles of Pierre Mendès-France University and Joseph Fourier University.
•    Create a specialised consultations centre open to the public as well as a resource centre for health care professionals.

Its scientific work is structured around 4 different research themes:
•    Learning and Educational Disadvantage
•    Ageing, Longevity and Autonomy
•    Emotions and Behaviour
•    Handicap, Deficiencies, and Adaptation

The following transversal research themes are actually under construction: Health and Work; Law and Health, Public Policy and Health.
